My name is Ethan Rank and I am a sound engineer and multimedia designer from Port Elizabeth, South Africa I am currently working as a freelance audio engineer and composer in the United Kingdom, offering services in sound mixing, mastering, sound design and music composition.
From a young age I have always had a passion for music and sound. I play a variety of instruments and have worked with a wide variety of genres.
I started out as a sound engineer focusing on audio production for radio and TV.
I quickly became interested in writing my own original pieces.
I pride myself on being a part of a production team that has won many prestigious local and international awards over the last 3 years.
Sound is one of the most important aspects of any video or film - my job is to create an emotive response.
I pride myself on taking the works of talented directors, graphic artists and producers and bringing it all together to create something magical.
I am a qualified sound engineer but have grown my interests and expanded my skills into music composition,
video editing, design and motion graphics. I orginally studied art at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University
in Port Elizabeth where I intended to major in design but decided to rather pursue a career in Audio Engineering.
After graduating from my Advanced Sound Engineering course at Damelin College in Port Elizabeth,
I started an internship at the biggest radio station in my city, Algoa FM.
I then went on to become an audio engineer, video editor and head of Post Production at
Bay-TV, a community Television station in Port Elizabeth.
It was there that i had the opportunity to grow in all aspects of Post Production.
I was then offered a job at Rooftop Productions, where I was the in-house audio engineer and composer.
I'm now an author on AudioJungle
